Thornspawn/Wrath Of War/Osmose Productions/2003 CD Review

Thornspawn are a band from San Antonio, Texas that plays a very  heavy of brutal form of Anti Christian, Satanic War/Black Metal and this is a review of their 2003 album "Wrath Of War" which was released by Osmose Productions.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to very heavy, fast and brutal with a lot of skull crushing blast beats, while the synths which are only used on the intro and outro bring a very dark avant garde feel to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black/war metal riffs that are very heavy and brutal sounding with some death metal influences, while the lead guitars are very distorted and chaotic sounding black/war/death metal guitar solos and leads.

Vocals are all high pitched black metal screams with some deep growls being thrown in at times, while the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism Anti Christianity, Darkness and True Metal, as for the production it has a very powerful, heavy, raw and professional sound to it.

In my opinion this was a great album from Thornspawn and if you are a fan of this band, you probably already own this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Vengeance Of The Hellpreacher" The False Messiah Has Been Shackled In Silence, Forever" Licking The Virgin Mary's Cunt" and "Diabolical Poser Holocaust". RECOMMENDED BUY.
