Satan's Blood/Christians To Ashes, Angels To Dust/Sound Riot/2001 CD Review

Satan's Blood are a band from Germany that plays a very raw and brutal form of satanic black metal and this is a review of their 2001 album "Christians To Ashes, Angels To Dust" which was released by Sound Riot.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a lot of brutal blast beats being thrown in, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very, raw and primitive, while the lead guitars are very chaotic sounding black metal guitar leads and solos that also utilize some dark sounding melodies.

Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams with some deep growls being thrown in at times as well as a brief use of spoken word passages, while the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism and Anti Christianity, as for the production it has a very dark, heavy and raw sound to it.

In my opinion Satan's Blood are a very good raw and primal sounding black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Christians To Ashes, Angels To Dust" "Satan's Blood" and "Lord Of Thebes". RECOMMENDED BUY.
